ermm ok what it is that i just got a wireless router now my questiong is, is that im the one with the ethanet running in mine but say i had my xbox running at the same time also with a ethanet would the internet slow down on the comp so say my online games would go slower on comp would it alos work if the wireless computer was on

Not to be rude, but please try asking that question again where it's clear what you are trying to do. By the way, it's Ethernet not ethanet.

If you are asking about sharing bandwith between the XBOX and computer, then yes, the XBox will slow down your computer connection while it is running because of the bandwith that it uses. But, if you have the XBox turned off, the PC's bandwith should be just fine...
