Wireless routers

I am trying to get a connection for my ps3 in my basement but im not exactly sure how to do it. What i think i will need to do is get a wireless router connected to my ps3 downstairs with a modem upstairs with my pc. Is this all i need to do or is that wrong? And even if it does work will the connection be strong at all?

It depends on the distance away from router and what it has to go through to get to your basement. Is there a way to run an ethernet cable from the router through the floor to the basement?

I probably could but im not sure at this point. Would the connection be very strong that way?

Well, Id get a Linksys Wireless N. I can go about 400FT outside my house ( almost around the corner with my laptop ) and I can connect to my network. This might be what you are looking for.

You need that router to be pretty close to the ps3 the signal will not go through floors all that well so I would suggest putting a computer some where arounf the ps3 with the stuff hooked up there
