Wireless stuck on 'acquiring network address'

I'm at a relative’s house right now and I brought my PSP thinking I could connect to their 802.11g/b wifi connection. After trying many solutions to connect I finally disabled the routers security and everything worked. They also have 2 other computers that connect using a USB ZD1211 wifi adapter. I decided to re-enable the security settings exactly as they were and now my PSP and one of the other computers cannot connect. It finds the network, but gets stuck on 'acquiring network address' as it attempts to connect.

Edit: It all works now, they gave me the wrong WEP key...I spent like 4 hours trying to fix it too...

If it is a notebook bring it to the wi fi modem. Sometimes this happens if the signal is weak and drops out durring it aquiring an ip address. Also turn off your encryption till you get it going.
