Wirless Not Online

Hello,
I have a Linksys Wireless ADSL Router, which works fine. I plug this computer (Linux) into the ethernet port and it gets on the internet fine. My mum has a laptop (Windows XP SP1) with a Linksys Wireless-G Adapter. The laptop gets on the internet fine when it is plugged in but when you use the wireless adapter it connects to the network fine but does not get on the internet.

Why is this and how can i change it?

Are you using Linksys wireless utility to connect or windows? Did u set a wep security key by any chance??
 
I am using the Linksys Router to get online. I have set the security key, it didn't work before and nore does it work after setting it. The only windows box I have is the Laptop.

Are you sure your selecting the corrrect wireless network? Wha tdid you call your connection at the router?
 
is the router wireless g aswell? You state above the wireless adaptor is g, is the router a g also?
