with this power suppy will i have enough juice

imma be using about 500 watts to power my video card and that monitor says it will use 55 watts so that means a total of 555 it will need when im getting a 550 watt power supply is this good or bad and will my power supply last long or will it burn out for over doing it by 5 watts
 
The monitor is not getting power from the computer's power supply ;)
But I think the PSU you mentioned is enough for the hardware you're using.
 
Your PC won't be drawing anwhere near 500W. That unit is more than adequate

Hehe, actually some old power supplies had input and outputs where you could actually run a monitor off the PSU. It was nice for monitors with hard-switches so they'd come on when you powered the system

It's an AC passthrough anyway, not drawing current off the PSUs rails.
