WMP has no sound

Hi just so you know I'm a noob. For some reason my wmp has no sound. So I can't listen to any music or hear any e-mail if there is sound. I checked to make sure it's plugged in. Everything else works fine I can hear and watch video online but no sound from wmp. Any ideas?
 
It sounds as if your computer doesn't have sound at all? Check your volume setting to be sure they are set about in the middle, check the device manager to be sure the sound componets are working okay. Try a differnt pair of speakers in the audio output of the PC to be it's not the speakers.
 
I checked everything with the sound on my computer and it seems to be working fine. I heard every beep sound when checking. It's just if something gets played through wmp or listening to my music is when there is no sound. It's only with wmp. I'm stumped and don't know what to do.
