I trying to remove wmp11.i've searched all over google and the answers i get is what i did exactly.
Add/remove progz-->show update->remove wmp11 and its runtime then the usermode driver.... but mp still opens and plays music after all that.
so i used smart uninstaller to force it out,which it did but after re-boot,mp still opens up perfectly without problem or crashing...kinda weird..

how do i uninstall ?

please i don't want to repair windows,ive got too much on my mind right now.

The actual solution is easy. You go into the add/remove Windows components section once you are in the add/remove programs and uncheck the WMP item listed there and click the ok button. no im not removing components,i know what you mean. i just want to remove 11 and put 10.been there done that.

The WMP 10 out does WMP 9 with seeing new video codecs included. I don't care for the lack of a menu bar noticed on WMP 11 either. So I'm kind of stuck in the middle there. WMP 9 leaves you searching for some codecs. If you just lately updated to 11 you should have a restore point or be able to roll back to 9 with the add/remove options.
