wol script

i was wondering if anyone can help me out here, im planning to deploy a windows server into my network for storage,printers and active directory .However I dont want to leave the server running 24/7 so what i would rather do is have some kind of script which runs preferably as the clients system is starting up to send a wol magic packet to bring the server out of sleep which it would do after about half an hour of not being used. The bit which im stuck on is what script to use and how to get it to run on startup
