won't load pages

Hi,

At times my laptop won't be able to load certain pages. For instance, when I try to Google something it will say "Invalid URL". I've narrowed it down to the router...however I don't know where to go from there? Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Make sure your dns address is set to what it should be. What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
 
Do you have another system on the network? Does it work ok? If not, then I assume your router could have had its dns hacked. Look in the tcp/ip properties of your network card and make sure the dns settings are set to automatic. Also check the router to see what the dns server address is.

How do I fix?
 
As I said in my last post, do you have another system on your network that you can check to see if its working correctly? If the other system is working fine then I would have to assume its something with your system. If not, then we can assume its an issue with isp/modem/router. Try turning off modem and router for a a few minutes and then plug them back in and try again.
