Abiword and/or Open Office <-- Best so far for free

As above, OpenOffice. It's free, and does pretty much everything MS Office does - some featues may be pretty hard to get used to but in general it's great (I've used OpenOffice writer for a few months back when I had Linux on my laptop...works great)
