I've downloaded this and played it for alittle while.. It came as a shock to find out it was a RTS! I was alittle pissed but figured I should give it a shot (I hate RTS's online, too much multitasking, it's no fun for me) and.... I love it!
There is no resource gathering or base building, You choose your "base" location on the map (and can rechoose mid-battle should you please) and your strategy/unit type: Air, infrantry, support, and armour. You can choose all vehicles of your chosen unit type and select ones of the others (at a higher price). You buy units with a point system that will rise much faster after sustaining casualties, kinda like recycling your units back into points.
You have a tactical aid system, killing enemies gives you points which you can spend in different ways.. Supportive, Offensive, and one other i can't remember

. There is nothing better than dropping a nuke in this game. It is by far the best looking nuclear explosion i have ever seen.
A couple other things to mention are the graphics; these being the best graphics ever seen in a rts (IMO), and the free camera (as opposed to the typically locked RTS camera) that is both fluid and adds a totally new dimension to this game.
I suggest you pick up the free beta while there still testing.
