Worth It?

Im about to build a new computer, and was wondering if the 975 extreme is really worth the price. I have been following the forums of many communities. What many are saying is save the 700 dollars and buy the 920 CPU and overclock it to 4GHZ with good cooling. With good cooling they are saying 3.5-4.0GHZ is capable and temps stay well under the max.

nope the extreme really isnt worth it at all. do what the other people were saying. you could use the money you save to say get a gtx 295 or some other good parts.

Don't waste your money. The 920 will be more than you will ever use.

I run mine at 3.43Ghz on air all day long stable. Idle temps below 40c.
Prime95 temps never break 60c.

So, the 6.4GT compared to the 4.8GT wont come into play someday sooner than later? Sorry, I just want to make sure I do this right the first time, lol
