Worth the upgrade?

I have around £90 to spend on a new processor and was recommended one by a member here.
Can anyone tell me if the change in performance i would make it worth buying the new processor?

my current processor is:

What motherboard do you have? We would need to make sure the new processor is compatible with the motherboard. But yes, the new processor would beat the old one and would run much cooler then the pentium D as they ran awful hot.

The cooling is one of the reasons i want to get rid of the pentium D. It just runs way too hot, which makes me constantly worried. However i didnt help by overclocking in to 3.5.
