Hi there, I'm wondering if my computer is worth upgrading at all, or if it's just best to wait for it to become outdated and then buy a new one. My current specs are in my signature, AMD FX-6300 Oc'd to 3.8Ghz, Asus M5A97 R2.0, GTX 770 2GB. My motherboard is not SLI compatible, I prefer Nvidia, and the highest CPU I can upgrade to is the FX-8350. I also have a good 700w PSU. I don't think a GTX 970 is worth the money from a 770 as far as I know, as it's not a major upgrade, I'd prefer to go to a GTX 980, however if my CPU is not going to keep up I'm not sure it would be worth it either. So, would it be worth it to get a GTX 980? Maybe if I get a 8350? Or would the upgrade be throwing my money away compared to a whole new system? Maybe I should just wait for better to come out before upgrading at all? Thanks.
As for the games I play, I tend to like new games that are demanding. I am kind of a graphics buff- I like to be able to put the settings high, and I'm not too sure about going 4k yet.. I'm happy with 1080p for now, but 4k might be a consideration in the future.
