wORTH TO UPGRADE?

Hello everyone, well im still new here

just want to know, i have Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz in my computer and if i want to upgrade i will strictly only to Core 2 duo E6420 2.13Ghz.
the question, is it worth to upgrade?

and anyone know the power usage of this processor? as far as i know Pentium D 945 use 95 Watt, is it true?
 
I dunno about the wattage, but the upgrading question lies with you. If just wordprocessing or email, the PD is fine for you. If your doing some medium gaming, an C2D..
 
Well to answer that question, im using my computer for all of my activity so it mean all purpose.

Do anyone know how "hot" the c2d e6420 w/out oc?
Since mine PD 945 reach 60 C in full load.
 
The Core 2 Duo will definite rip the Pentium D series. I have a Pentium D 945 as well at the moment, but I'm holding out for a Quad core.
