Would a 450W Generic(with no SATA) PSU work with a SATA computer?

The computer is a 1 year old dell with a 250W PSU. The computer has SATA cables/connections inside. I don't have much knowledge with SATA, can this 450W PSU(does not have a SATA cable) replace the 250W PSU?

You would need another PSU with SATA power cables,however you might be able to find an adaptor.

The SATA cable should be the least of your concern. Dell uses proprietary PSUs so the generic one might not fit.
