Would my X2 3800+ bottleneck an HD3870?

What other card could be an option to improve from my 7600gtT? in other words, i want to be able to play Crysis in medium settings at least without having to pay too much. Right now i can play it in low with my 7600gt. Would say a 3850 be another option that wouldn't bottleneck?

according to anandtech, what about the other 10 reviews? benchmarks aren't everything, its in-game performance. The 3870 has proven to produce better image quality, and every site i look at, its only about 4-5 fps slower. Overclocked a little this card will beat a 8800GT easy. Also, the 3870 holds its grounds better with AA enabled and higher resolutions.

Price vs. performance.

For $220 i would get the 3870, even if it does slightly bottleneck it, ramodkk.

newegg just raised their prices on the 3870 to $270

For that, i would just get the 8800GT

Yeah it sounds like either supply/demand is at work or something called penetration pricing where they get a foothold and then whack prices up after a while.

Decision is made now! Going for 8800GT if 3870 prices dont come down.
