Would this be worth it??

well it depends on how much you need the videocard. r u an avid gamer playing HiDef games? what do u need it for? is it worth the $75+shipping? keep these questions in consideration when trying to decide whether or not u want to purchase it.

I think you should stay well clear of the X16xx series, they are overpriced lemons. I strongly suggest Nvidia's 7 series.

If you are an occasional gamer then the 7600GT should be enough, but I think you should hold out abit long for a DX10 card.

Well, I would get the 7600gt, but sadly I don't have a PCI Express slot :( ..
And the 7600gt Agp ones are GDDR2 and are a little to high in price..

I found an 7600gs agp.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130076
EVGA 256-A8-N542-T2 GeForce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card

Would you recommend this over the "SAPPHIRE 100197L Radeon X1650 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card" ?

If you have a preference in a good agp 4x/8x video card that costs close to $100, then please show me :) .

Sorry, i didnt even notice the card you picked out was AGP. :o

Those two card are close to being equals.. I don't know which one has the bigger advantage but neither would be a bad choice.

AGP is very obsolete, I don't think you should spend any money on it. Save up and get a PCI-E board.

Yeah it's obsolete, but it still is a very viable standard. It's just that all of the manufactures will no longer make any new ones. AGP is still a fast buss. No need to upgrade a complete system just because of it's lack of PCIE. Only problem is that AGP will never support DX10.

PCIE was just another way for the industry to make people get rid of the old to buy new. AGP could have lasted a lot longer, but they could make more money by changing the standard. Just like changing from 939 to am2, No real reason, other than you have to buy a new component to keep up.

I guess, but to play games like Crysis the way its intended to be play you would certainly need a PCI-E system, so if you are going to upgrade anyway then why waste money on AGP?

Yeah I don't intend to play really intensely graphic games like Crysis, although it would be nice :P . Probably when I get out of High School next year i'll buy a whole new hardcore system.. Just hoping for this system to last one more year  .

Anyway thanks for your suggestions :D , I think now i'm gonna go with the 7600gs for sure, because it seems that ATI one probably would have left me dissatisfied in the end.
