Would This PC Build Max Out Minecraft

I don't know if you have already this stuff or not - and if you have then don't worry, but I started a thread a long time ago about a build for Minecraft. It's a game I don't play and I know nothing about it, but some people were saying that Minecraft utilises more CPU power than GPU power - see this thread: http://www.computerforum.com/219331-cheap-chips-build.html#post1841540 (bear in mind this was a build for a friend who was on a ridiculously tight budget).

Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but it might be worth looking into. If so, you could look at maybe getting an i3 instead of a Pentium and then if you can stick with the 270X that'd be awesome, or you could look at a 270 or 260X if the CPU is more important for Minecraft than the GPU is.

But Oke is right, the 270X will be enough for pretty much anything at 1080p. It's faster than the 5870 which I own and that plays games at 1080p perfectly fine.

It really is a coin toss for most people, but I'd rather use XP than 8.1 these days.
So many small things that annoy me about 8.1. I'm used to 7, where I can click Start -> 'Calc' and it opens a calculator. Do it again, and it opens a new calculator. On 8.1, it switches focus to the already opened calculator. Unacceptable.
Really? You get upset about that? That's just being very picky.

So should I still get the one I said I was going with that would run Minecraft at max settings? Or what? But if I get Windows 7, will you be able to update to 8.
