Ok so I'm new to all this stuff, and compatibility seems to be my extreme weakness here as I don't understand all the names etc, but I was checking out the hardware me and my mate chose, and I was seeing if I could find cheaper alternatives, alas it's 02:21 in England and nobody here is awake, so I'm retreating here for some expert guidance on whether this build would work & if it's all compatible with each other.... many thanks - also any advice to help me understand compatibility issues would be MUCH APPRECIATED :)

Case: That case is almost certainly a POS. Look for Antec, Coolermaster, NTXZ, LiLan, or the like. You will want a quality case as it will provide better cable management and better airflow.
Hard Drive: I have no experience with Maxtor, but Western Digital and Seagate are excellent drives. Get one of these if you can.
PSU: Major oversight. That is a low end brand, and will likely fail soon after buying it. Look for Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, NTXZ, PCPAC, or XFX with 500 watts or higher. These are the top brands and the only ones that really have the quality to stand up to a system.

Looking at the case reviews on the site it seems to be good, I don't intend to keep this buil though, I intend to upgrade when I can afford, I'm just looking for something that can last a year or so... Thanks for the PSU advice, bit of a bummer as that was saving me £30 but needs must.

Also, is it all compatible?
