Would this x2 4200+ be of any benefit to me??

Hi
I upgraded to vista home premium from MCE the other day but im finding that having several programes open at the same time starts to make my computer slow. As you can see I have a 3700+ which seemed to do me perfectly with XP but not vista. Would the upgrade to the x2 4200 http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=337087 be of benefit. I usualy have itunes, internet explorer, msn and recording live tv all at the same time. My board only supports 939 :( which of course I didnt know was on the way out when I got it last year but cant afford to upgrade it at the moment really so anyway, any recommendations or help is greatly apreciated!!!!!!
 
Yeah, it should help decrease lag and improve performance alot. Something else you may need to do, however, is buy more RAM. The processor will help alot, but if it doesn't, you might want to buy another 512mb of memory, which isn't too expensive nowadays.

They both take a lot on mine, iTunes is the most laggy thing I have ever used, and if you are using a lot of IE windows it will slow down.
I would get another 512MB of RAM.
 
Well I got ram the other day I used to have just 1gig, but got extra to be safe for vista. Ive never seen more dan 55% in use but Im sure you know better than i do so I will get it. I may aswell pick up that processor anyway while its still around. I mean it seems like a bargain to me for €69. Would I be right in assumin that its "better" than the one I have now??
