Would you buy a 3 years old IBM Thinkpad?

I'm considering buying a used IBM Thinkpad with a 15'' screen, that has 3 years old.

What do you think about that?
Would it be at the end of its lifetime? Would I have any problems?

Thanks

Internet, office, photoshop, video editing, no games.
It is sold 349$.

I'm actually wondering if I can get a new pc at less than 600$

That laptop would not do photoshop and video editing well. You can build a new PC at less than $600 that would destroy that laptop in terms of performance.

You can walk into best buy and walk out with a better, new laptop for $300-350. My dad got one for around $340 in the spring and it was a 16" HP which even had an hdmi out.

It can prolly do what you want, though it's hard to tell with no specs. The IBM's always looked deceivingly outdated.

That being said, $349 is still too much unless it has some nice specs to go with it, which i doubt for 3 years old.
