So I was having issues with my 8800GT scores. No matter what I did my scores always popped up 6000. So I tried different stuff, overclocked both CPU and card, only got 300points. This got me concerned as my 8800GTS with barely any OC yielded 8500.
So I installed Vista Business yada yada, and my setup does run more smoothly than it did on XP so I was happy with that.
Everyone suggested not to pay attention to 3dMark and just play some games. Well here are what I got.
Half Life 2: Episode Two
1680x1050 Filters on Max: 110 Min: 41 I assume it dipped down soo low because I only have 1GB of ram and running Vista. These results are a little bit better than my GTS.
Portal:
1440x900 Filters On Max:61 Min:49 <~~~ baffled that it never went past 61 but it stayed pretty smooth. These were the same results as my GTS.
So what do you guys think? Just get more ram and upgrade cpu should do the trick. I want to SLI my 8800GT.
