Wouldn't it be better to wait?

I've been thinking, instead of upgrading your graphics card now wouldn't it be better to wait for DX10 to cards come out, then upgrade? (I maybe wrong like, but it was just something that popped to mind).

Just like anything else new that comes out, the price will go down over time. I'm sure the 8800 cards will go down a good bit once ATI's new card comes out.

Well for one thing, DX10 cards are out already, and had been for a few weeks now. The prices of the 8 series card will definetly drop when the R600 comes out, but then who knows, maybe the 8900 cards will come out. No matter how much you wait, they'll always be better cards coming out, that's why i never buy the best card .
