or try and look on the router for a serial number or something
wtf.... seriously, wtf...
Is it the cable rf mac address on the router?
ignore the post quoted above.... its just completely wrong.
eh?
you need to log onto one of the machines that has wifi enabled to the router, log onto the admin page of the router. And navigate to the wep page to view the wep
you can normally enter the admin page by typing the IP of the router into the internet explorer, it will be something like
http://192.168.2.1
http://192.168.1.1
http://192.168.0.1
one of those is most likley
take that advice instead, that's accurate.
Also, if you couldn't find it out, or your parents don't know it (say a friend set it up or something) I'm fairly sure you could use a normal ethernet (Cat 5) cable and physically connect to the router (if it has wired ports, they usually do) There isn't usually any restrictions from there, just plug it in and go.
There are things like MAC address filtering and stuff, but i doubt that's enable or configured.
