Wrong Locations/Geolocators

I live in Columbus, Ohio, but when I am on my HOME NETWORK, in COLUMBUS, things like Google that show my location and even ping tests have said that I am in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, but that isn't correct. How is my home network making my geo-locator almost 30-40 miles inaccurate?!

When I speedtest I'm placed in Hartford and I live in Columbia. What does it matter anyway?

Where does Google Maps place you?

It's sometimes due to where your IP is located at the main office. Certainwebsites place me closer to Chicago then what I really am.

Depends on a lot of factors.

I had adelphia in Virginia and all of the ips they had geolocated to courdersport pa..

The geolocation is not always accurate, it usually just give you an idea as to where you are, not a specific location. Mine always says I'm 2 towns over from where I live.
