WRongly plugged power ribbon cable help!!!

Hello everyone
yesterday i was trying to fix the sound on my hp dv6500 laptop i had to disconnect the power ribbon cable etc.
but when iput everything back and tryed to turn the laptop on it would turn on..
so i think i plugged the power ribbon cable wrong

HOw do i plug a ribbon cable right?
ithinki might have of plugged the white bit onthe ribbon cable wrong help please:mad:
 
I think you need to reassemble the laptop. It is most likely not the power ribbon cable. It can however be any number of cables or devices causing your laptop not to boot.

Check to see that all cables are connected to the right ports, and that all of your components are installed properly (RAM, Battery, cable from AC to the motherboard, DVD drive) and that all screws are installed properly. HP can be picky about what it takes to boot.
 
if the computer does absolutely nothing when you push the power button, its possible, but if any LED's on the laptop come on that's not the problem.

Make sure you didn't plug in one of the speaker or touch buttons ribbon cables into it, I know all those cables are close to each other. And I remember on mine The cables all lay flat and look right when plugged in correctly, as long as they were plugged in to the white line it should be right.
