Everytime my cable cable gets disconected and reconected, the internet doesnt work. The first time, it couldnt authenticate the IP adress, second time, it worked after 4 hours, and this time it says the cable is disconected even though its conected!  I've disconected and reconected the cable a million times and have restarted like 20 times. Does anybody know WTF is going on!!!

Seems like your cable is messed up. I would suspect one of the wires losing contact or something. It's very cheap to get a replacement cable to try and eliminate that problem. If not that, the LAN input/output on the PC/lappy could be damaged as well. Check for that.

So you mean the cable itself or the part that goes into the computer? Cant you replace the conector thingy on the same cable by using some special tool? Also I dont know much about networking whats the LAN input/output?

Sorry

I meant to say that the cable should be changed. You can use tools to add a new conector on if you will but often that's not worth it given the price you pay for the extra needed tools. If not that, check for the LAN plug. Make sure that the metal parts are not in any way sticking out or so on.

I already have the tool (I see what you mean it was the price tag is $30), and and extra conector. So I guess I will try that.

Actualy I'll let my cousin do it because he knows how...

Ok I just told my mom that my cable is busted and she said that we didnt drill a hole big enough so we had to make that cable ourselves. Now she doesnt want to make another cable/drill a bigger hole so she wants to get me a wireless adopter. Could my problem also be my ethernet card? Could the card be slipping out slightly? Because the brcket that holds the expansion slots in place was bent and I had to bend it back. The computer recognizes the card though so could it just be a foulty card? Either way gvetting a wireless adaptor will solve my problem right.... Are there any that you guys recomend that will alos not get outdated in anyway soon? I already have a wireless router.

wireless adaptor? Yes it will work if you know you will receive a good signal..

Ethernet cord? You dont need to replace the whole cord.. just the two tips.. take what 2 inches total of the cord? The card should be fine if it is recoognized and not installing and uninstalling. :)
