The Beast has been making this god-awful rattling noise for a while now and I can not figure out where/what it is coming from. I suspect it is the top fans but I am not (entirely) sure. Below is a video on my YT Channel of the noise.

NOTE: Your volume level has to be high to hear the rattle in the video.
Seriously, it's driving me nuts!

Sounds like one of your fans - could be a CPU cooler fan or a graphics card cooler fan - is grinding against a cable inside your PC. Make sure no cables are obstructing fans.

From what I have heard I am 99% sure it is the top case fans. I have moved all the cables away from the fans but the noise is still there. The fans are the OEM 120mm case fans that came with the Coolermaster HAF 912 case.

Well, the headers that the fans are powered with are behind my graphics card/cpu cooler and I am NOT comfortable tooling around with those components.

Well, unplugging fans is really the best way to determine what's up. What happens if you try to jam one of the fans whilst they are running? Temporarily cable tie them so that they don't spin whilst the PC is powered off and then turn it back on. Does the noise go away?

Either it's rubbing against something or the bearings of your fan(s) are bad and the fan(s) need to be replaced.

That might be the case because before I got the Beast earlier this year a friend had it since 2008, and he ran that thing 24/7.

Yup likely the case. As I've said, try unplugging the suspect fans or prevent them from spinning and see if the noise goes away.

1. I can't unplug them and 2. I am afraid that if I stop them the motors will burn.

I'm only talking about jamming them for a few seconds at the most - just enough to determine that the noise has gone. The motors will be fine.

You said that you wanted the noise to go away because it is irritating you. We've told you what we think the problem is and how you need to solve it - so now you need to do it otherwise it's not going to go away, is it?

1. If its a broken fan your going to want to replace it which will require unplugging and plugging it back in and 2. If the fans are broken, it doesn't really matter. Plus just keeping them from moving for a few seconds won't hurt anything.

It should be easy enough to remove a graphics card in order to unplug a fan. The graphics card is one of the easiest components to replace in a computer.

Literally unscrew it from the case, then after having removed any power cables that it needs, lift it up from the PCI Express slot after having released the slot. Usually there's a plastic clip you push down on whilst removing the card to do that - nearly always situated at the end of the slot.

Those white things are the plastic clips:

Alright, look. I know you guys are trying to help me but I am afraid to hurt myself or damage the PC doing this. I am just not comfortable doing this.

Uh... If its a broken fan, it DOES NOT MATTER. Also, it is basically impossible for you to get hurt if you tie down the fan while its off.

And if you don't have the clips you just have to unscrew the card.

Look, if you want to be a owner of a PC, occasionally you're going to need to man up and do stuff. When I first built my PC I was scared of doing a lot of things wrong, but I was cautious and everything turned out okay.
