wtf? Windows gaming pc crashed

I was doing a diskcleanup on my computer the other day. I have my computer to go to sleep mode after 45 min of being idle.

I come back in an hour and my computer shows nothing but the background. So I shut it off and reboot it.

But when I rebooted it It came up with the "blue screen of death" and said something about kernels and sleep (it only flashed up for a split second).

I have tried to run it in safe mode but it crashes everytime. I try to run it last known good configuration and normal modes. But it still crashes.

So, I was like "ok...." and took my hd out of my pc and backed up all of my important data.

I got the windows cd and tried to repair it both ways.
When I do just the repair, nothing really comes up that can fix my pc.
When I do the repartition, agree, repair (or repartition without reformatting.)
It comes up with the copying over files thing, and it says it cant load up a lot of those files.

Now right now I am stuck and not sure what to do...

If you have an EDUCATED answer, please respond.

Don't just tell me to reformat the hd (if that is your "educated" answer")

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

What exactly do you mean you repared both ways?

And when you say it can't load up a lot of files, do you mean during the repair? It almost sounds like you have a hard drive problem. It might be worth getting some diagnostic program and checking it out. Your HD manufacturer should have something for download.

since you have a back up formatting and reloading would probaby be the best step. However, if you are familar with recovery console you can try these commands:

Code:
    * C: CD ..
    * C: ATTRIB –H C:\boot.ini
    * C: ATTRIB –S C:\boot.ini
    * C: ATTRIB –R C:\boot.ini
    * C: del boot.ini
    * C: BOOTCFG /Rebuild
    * C: CHKDSK /R /F
    * C: FIXBOOT

Use this at your own risk.

ok, I will try and use those commands, but I am going to backup my hd first. Should I do these commands in this order? Because they seem like they should be used in a specific order.

Also my hd isnt the problem, it works just fine. When I said both ways I mean by the repartition-agree that this is a valid windows-repair. Or I go to the repair on the main menu.

Well i have an EJUKAYDED guess for you. if the recovery console thingy doesnt work out for you, then zero out the hard drive.

and it is a hd problem, thats where EVERYTHING is stored, so if you getitng a boot up problem, its a hd problem. if you cant reformat it or "fix it" you wont have much of choice anyways.
