i wonder how many of u here kwno this game it supposed to be very good as a classic but i cant get it to run on my vista there is a note that says that u cant run it if u have a gforce card and i hapen to have one so any body has an advice?
 
that is old school turn based strategy warfare against aliens, yeah I've played them.

Run a virtual machine of windows 98 on your rig and try that
 
never heard of that game :o but yea, if its a really old game, you'd need either dosbox (if its really, really old :P ) or some sort of windows 98 (is there a program to simulate win98?)
 
download virtual PC from Microsoft, and then grab your old Windows 98se CD and install a virtual machine onto your PC. You can then run the game. It is highly likely they will be making a sequel to X-Com, since it was a pretty kick ass old school game.
 
i did downlaod microsoft virtual machine but i dunno how to run it or anythin so if i put the win 98 cd im guesing that a virtual drive or somethin will apear for me to install win 98 there is that so?
 
Just create a new virtual machine through the software, and follow the instructions in the wizard. Then put in the 98 CD and boot off it and install it like normal when your virtual machine boots. Its quite easy really.
 
tlarkin, What do you do for a living? You seem to have a answer to every question. I for one appreciate your help and knowledge on this site.
