X1600XT question regarding pixel ...

Hey guys,

my friend asked me to clarify one thing. Ati-tools is reporting 4 pixel pipelines active on his X1600XT. Should it not be 12? I have tried looking on the net, but I have come across conflicting information with one source saying 4 and the other 12. What is the truth?

the x1600xt has 12 pixel pipes

It has 4 Texture Units and 4 Raster Operators, but 12 pixel pipes.
