X1900XT or 7900GTO

You can't always follow stats. You need to look at real world performance. I would have a hard time deciding, because they are so even. It depends on which games you play, because each is good at their own type of game.

I say the stats look pretty even, I think the X1900XT is the better deal though, According to Gamespot, it is better.

They are pretty even, but I personally would go with NVIDIA, if you would like to help our folding team, X1900XT is the way to go :D

Well it's good to know that either choice is a good one. I think I will go with the 7900GTO though. Also as much as I'd like to join your folding team, I am already a member of another team.

Mega, are you planning on putting the 7900GTO into the system in your rig? If so, you'll have a hard time inserting it into the AGP slot... :D

It's for a new PC I have planned, which I should have soon enough. This rig I have now isn't even worthy of being within the same room as that card.

Remember, thought, that DX10 is coming out in a bit, so I dunno if you would want to get one of those...

I am officially inviting you to join our team: 44358 :D

We'd enjoy having you as part of our team :)

Even if you don't fold for our team, you can still fold using the X1900XT for the other team.

I'll go with the 7900, ATi drivers are a bit unstable. Well, that's with the old one. I haven't tried the new Catalyst.

FYI, ATi's drivers has been solid for quite a few years now. =)

But if your talking about a ATi GPU you owned prior to that FX5200 upgrade I feel ya pain. :P
