x1900xtx mem and core drop?

after i play company of heroes i look at my ATI tool and my core and memory drop from 650 core to 500 and 775 memory to 600...y is that? or is it just the ATI tool?

the ATI tool is the .25 Beta 16 if that has to do with anything
 
What's the temperature of the card during playing?

Also, Im not sure about this, but there could be a setting that sets the speed for 3D applications and 2D application. So the card ups its speeds while playing games.

ya i just tested it and i think its just switching from 2D to 3D speed. when i sarted up COH it went back to 650 and 775 and then when i exited it it went down again so ya

Bingo! :)

There is a process called "ati2evxx.exe", which will lower the card voltage & frequencies when exiting a 3D environment & going into 2D, this will save power & keep the card quiet when not playing a game.

If your using ATi-Tool to manually control the card using a profile, you should prevent that process from loading on boot.

yep, 70-80C is pretty hot btw (however, not dangerous). my 7900gtx never hit 55C
as they said, it slows down for 2D applications that don't require so much processing power. saves money on your electric bill.
