Just out of curiousity. Because my old psu didn't have pci-e connections I used the supplied molex to 6 pin adapter and have had no problem whatsoever. But resently I picked an Antec Neo HE 550 which has the cables I need. The question is should I disconnect my adapter and connect straight to the pci-e 6 pin cable or should I not? I know it may seem like a no brainer but what I noticed about the supplied adapter that came with my gpu is though it has 6 slots for 6 pins, there's actually only 3 PINS!
So with that being said, if I connect a standard pci-e cable to my x1950 pro XGE I'll be connecting 3 more pins that weren't connected before.
I just don't want to burn out any other psu or anything else.
So, what should I do?
