X2 4800+ OCing

I am new to this and wondering where is the best place to start. I have an ASUS A8N32 SLI Delux Mobo and Corsair XMS3500LL DDR 2GB. I have been researching but I am unsure where to start. Experienced overclockers please give an insite and tips. Thanks
 
Have you read Overclocking 101?

I start out by raising the FSB until the system becomes unstable, then i lower the HTT to 4x, lower the memory to 166Mhz, and then raise the FSB some more. Then after that i raise the memory to 2.7V and i raise my VCore to 1.475V (.050V above stock).
