x48 and q9450?

It's march in 3 days, and it seems not a single word has been herd about the x48 and q9450. They said last year q9450 would be released around end of december, then pushed to january, and now theres no word. Same goes for x48, but I can understand that since amd is not up to their level they don't need to release a x48 and push it to q1. It seems by this rate, it'll arrive around spring/summer.

Does anyone think it will arrive by summer? or even by the end of this year?

grand theft auto 4 was also supposed to come out on october 16th or something like that, technology has a funny way with that sort of stuff, doesn't it?

They said the 9800 would be out in Feburary.

Don't believe anything the net says...

well actually, first they said november 2007. :P haha, jk man. i know, for example, gran turismo mobile (great game to be) was suppose to come out in 2005. What year is it now? Oh yea, they say they are still working on it.

Yeah....true...(about the GTA 4 statement). If the Q9450 gets pushed back as much as GTA4 has, I'll be so pissed off I won't even know what to do with myself.

I was planning on only keeping my E2180 until the 45nm Quads came out, but after doing a bit of reading, particularly this thread http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/281927-45nm-quad-not-good-investment-yet.html
has got me second guessing. :(

Idk he made a lot of good points...although isn't the Q9450 (supposedly) better clock for clock than the Q6600 anyways?

In any situation, your best bet is to wait until the Q9450 is released and go from there. If it doesn't perform very well, or isn't worth the extra $$$, get the Q6700, as it'll be around $250.

There will be price cut for Q6700 ($266) and Q6600 ($224) on 20 April

Soon it's April and yet not a single word on any of them? that's crazy. I don't think I have witnessed Intel delaying a product this long.

remember, we still have the 24th of march. 9 more days. if not, then expect late april, or just wait until sometime in the summer. You know, i was going to wait for 45nm quads to come out on january 20th. i am sure happy that i didnt wait, if i did, this would drive me NUTS!
