x8?

Hi,
I am wondering why my gtx 570 is running at x8 on my p67a ud4, it is running in the top slot which should be x16


i am also running a sata card on the bottom pci slot but this shouldnt affect it, right?

If you're running crossfire or sli both cards will run at x8 mode, whereas if you stick one card in lane 2(second from the top pci x1 lane) it says it should run at a full x16. Did you accidentally put it in lane 5?

I am not running sli and i am certain that i have placed it into lane 2

even if its not running at x16 speed, the difference between x8 and x16 is negligable

As has been said by FuryRosewood, there will be no noticeable difference since even the very latest GPU's are not capable of using the full bandwidth of x16. Not by some margin infact.

Well it is running at x16 now, i just flashed my bios to f7 i dont know if that made a difference but i am running at x16 )
