x800 help

I just recently built my computer a week ago, i bought it so i could play demanding games like bf2 cod 2 aoe3 ect. i got the x800 pro hoping it would let me play at high leveles of detail, for most of my games it does but for battlefield 2 i can only run it with 2 things on medium detail the rest low, is the card just not good enough??¿¿

thats becuase of the ram.
BF needs atleast 1 gig to run with setting higher then Low/medium

where did you hear that? the ram helps out on loading times. and on my laptop i played with some high settings and only had 512mb.....

back on topic:
thats really wierd. you can play high on the newer games but not on the older one. so you manually changed the settings from medium to high? do you get an error saying you cant change it to high settings?
i kno that even tho you have a crappy gfx card(which you dont) it will try to play at the setting you put even if its too high then it will just lag and you get low fps.
