X800 or X1300

whats better, ATi X800 or X1300, my guess whould be X1300 judging from the higher number, am I right?

nope, the x800 is much better. It's the same as with Nvidia cards, where a 6800 is better than a 7300.

No, the x800 is by far the better performer. The only time i would recommend the x1300 would be if your only using it for watching movies, photos, ect, since it is cheaper and it offers AVIVO.

If you want to compare ATI's X series cards to the X1K series, a closer match to the x1300 would be the x300 series.

First gourp of numbers represents the model generation, second number the class of said generation.

ATI
X1300 - X1 or 11th generation, 300Class
X800 - X or 10th generation, 800Class

Nvidia
6800 - 6th Generation - 800Class
7300 - 7th Generation - 300Class

Now I have no idea if it is infact the 11th or 10th generation, thats just the way they are seperating the generations

Most people new to this stuff get tricked, as the brain see's X-1300 and X-800 so clearly 1300>800, Wrong!

That makes sense, since the generation previous of the X-series was the 9xxx series
