X800 XL, X800 XT, or X800 XT PE?

Hi everyone, im new to these forums. Well anyway I need some advice, recently i've come into some money. I was trying to decide which graphics card I should get. Currently im using a 9600xt so any of these would be a BIG step up from what im already using. I priced the X800 XL at $290, the X800 XT at $380, and the X800 XT PE at $490.

Heres the specifications on the cards...

Specifications on the X800 XL:
Chipset/Core Speed: ATI Radeon X800 XL/400MHz

Memory/Effective Speed: 256MB GDDR3/980MHz

Support 3D API: DirectX 9, OpenGL 2.0
Max Resolution@32bit Color: 2048X1536@85Hz

Which Card is the best for my money?

I would say the best bang for your buck would be the x800XL. I dont believe the increase in performance up to the x800 XT is worth $90. Unless you have the money to throw away. You will get some performance gains going up to the XT. I think personally the PE version a total wast of money

You proberly get 1-2 more fps from the xt to the xt pe. I think this is definally not worth a extra $110.

If I was you I would choose between the XL and the XT. THe XT PE just not worth the money.

from the benchmarks I seen it any where from 5fpa-15fps depending on the game and the resoultion you playing at.

Wait up, the 9600XT was an AGP card the last time I checked. And you said you were going to get the X800XL card which you said was a PCI-Express one. Do you have two computers? (one with a agp and one with a pci-X slot) Or is there a AGP version of the X800XL?

I pretty sure there no agp version of the x800XL so you got a pretty good point there.

I currently am using some crappy hp computer with an agp slot, in a few weeks ill be getting a brand new alienware comp with a pci-e slot.
