X800GTO vs. 6600GT

I'd give the hat to the x800GTO. 400MHz Core, 490MHz Memory may be slower the the 6600GTs, 500/500 but the x800 has a 256bit bus and may have 4 pipes available for unlocking.

Hmm, yah I would say the GTO as well. It would have to depend on which can overclock more though.

Why are they using car names?

Motherboard like a highway, bus speed is like how many lanes it is. many of our overclocking programs are meant to look like a HUD display or guages in a car. online speed tests are guages most often. weird how cars and computers are intertwined.

they say that the saphire GTO2 can easily be unlocked to 16pp, and the connect 3d GTO can maybe also.

If one card can be unlocked then all of them can, but defects may prevent the extra 4 pipes from working.

hi jet i am lookin for a similar graphics card to you! were have u seen the saphire gto2? i am pretty tempted to get the xfx 6600gt with 256 mb gddr3 you should have a lok at that card it gets really good reviews

are you sure? cause on another forum they did a little research on the x850pro vivo cards and found out that only some of them could be unlocked.

the 6600gt is actually 500/1000.

Cromewell is correct the clock speed of the ram is 500mhz. it uses GDDR3 ram so it transfers data twice per cycle that where people get the 1000 from.

Uhh I'm just wondering I've posted that article TWICE and nobody believed me but when other pople post it they are all like ooohh... wow that awesome, I've never seen that before, I think I'll try it... :P
