alright all,

well my 9600 pro is giving up on me i think so ive sent danny (Kornowski) a pm about his X850 Pro. (AGP

how would a x850 pro work on my rig?
would my cpu cause a major bottleneck?

also would it run on a 400W Psu

Im not sure at all the differences between the X800 PCIe and the X850 AGP... but my X800 handles EVERTHING i have thrown at it, execpt DiRT.. requires SM 3.0 :P

On my old monitor (1024x768) i could run games like test drive unlimited completely maxed out, i just got COD 4 on this big arse monitor and can run it low/medium.. atleast i think they are fairly similar, don't know how much AGP affects it.

did i do good danny? j/k j/k :P

i actualy want to try out TD:U so if that card could play it that would be great, shame it lacks SM 3.0 but i heard cod4 needs SM 3.0 and yet it does play on SM:2.0

would my cpu bottleneck it alot?

I would think it will be fine, can't be much different than mine. I ran it on a HP with a 300w or 350w PSU, can't remember.

your psu will be fine, but my biggest worry is that your processor will prove to be a major bottleneck. i have the same one, the sempron 2800 and before i upgraded to the 3400, i had to play age of empires 3 at the lowest settings and it still sometimes lagged. (and i already had my X800GTO)

hmm i hope my psu will be okay....ive played AOE3 on medium and it doesnt lag

do you guys think my processor bottlenecks even my 9600 pro? :D

i shouldnt think it would though
