xbox 360 games

well... I'm planning on getting an xbox360, and I have a few games in mind already, but I'd like to hear some oppinions about the games, you know, like if they are good, the controls are nice etc :)

the games I was thinking about were, ninetynine knights, Chrome hounds, Perfect Dark zero, dead or alive 4 and gears of war. (tough.. I have heard about gears of war that its a really gross game.. :x )
 
gears of war will be for PC soon though! with 5 new single player levels including the Brumack! and 19 multi! so getting gears for 360 instead of PC if you never played it would be illegal!

You're right. Thanks for reminding me Cheese. The PC version will be much better.
 
Oblivion, Rainbow 6: Vegas, Call of Duty 3, Gears of War, Armored Core 4, The Darkness, Guitar Hero II, and Crackdown are very good IMO. If you like sports games, NHL 2k7, MLB 2k7, Madden 07, NCAA Football 07, Tiger Woods 07 are all great too. I like Tiger Woods 07 the best out of the sports games and probably Guitar Hero II or Call of Duty 3 out of the other ones.
 
Gears of War is a must. Perfect Dark Zero, well I thought it was a terrible game. Some think differently, but I guess you could try it out.

If you are into racing and cars, Forza Motorsport 2 is an excellent excellent game. It's really awesome.
 
dont get ninty nine night(N3), u will regret it. trust me I play the entire game, all u do is like trashing and trash hundreds and hundreds of units.
 
I agree that Forza is a definite must if you are into racing at all (although I still prefer Gran Turismo overall slightly), additionally DOA4 is another good choice (green Kasumi is annoying as *#@#), otherwise Hour of Victory, COD 2 & 3 and Mass Effect are all great.

^^ Yeah, I read a review on N3 that said it was promising, but overall very disappointing... :(

Also, GOW is kinda bloody and a lot of people haven't really been fans of the control system all that much, basically it's like they designed the game for a controller that has an extra couple of buttons and then had to adapt it back so some buttons do a lot of different things...

Shame u feel that way, I think its awesome, having ova a 1000 head shots on multi player (mostly with the sniper rifle) I think the controls are perfect. I think I would personally have difficulty moving over to a mouse and keyboard.

Also wernt they on about charging you monthly to play GOW on your PC online :/ ??

If you get a X360 Archangel I would just get GOW for that then just buy the gold card so you can play all the X360 games online with no additional charges.

Yup game looked awesome and my friend bought it on the first day of the release. But its just the same ole story all the way though, bit of a button basher.

wow yes that was the 1st game I bought for my X360 and played it for months (mostly multi player). Used to play the Infection online and is really fun to do. haven't played it for a while though.

Yup thats a gr8 game, awesome graphics though I found the multi player to be a bit pants due to lag, but that might have been just me. Good gameplay and some tricky combos to learn.

Also Devil May Cry 4 :D being a fan of the Devil may cry games I was gonna buy a PS3 just to play that. But now its coming out on the X360 I will just get it for that.
 
(already played CoD 2 and Oblivion on the pc so definately not getting those ^^ )

GOW, still not sure. I mean, I hear its an awesome made game, tough, I don't really like extreme gross stuff. I mean, Quake 4 etc.. hmm :x

N3 will be removed from the list I gues. noone is positive about it, so I gues its not really good.

Anyone got an oppinion on ChromeHounds? I played the demo, and it was quite enjoyable (but then, it was in a shop, so not very long or so)

Forza.. I'm not into racing games myself a lot (unless I can make my own car indestuctable or so :P ) I like the arcade-ish racing games, NFS:MW and FO2 were quite nice for example. and I've seen the 360 beeing sold over here with that game as a package (so basicly paying 15 euro extra for that game, so might just get it then)

Perfect Dark zero, DOA4 are definate so far tough :) (so is Halo 3, the main reason I'm actually going to buy the 360 ^^ )

Oh yes Halo is a must, gotta love them games :)

A fun arcadey driving game is FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, its got some great mini games on it where you have to launch the driver though the windscreen to hit targets lol. Also good game to play it online.

Also another good game to look at is Crackdown, Its a really fun "sandbox" type game which also has great online play too.
 
To me, Gears of War was a total boner kill. It was all hyped up and still hasn't delivered. : /

Overhyped. Perhaps. "Total boner kill". No. Admittedly, I don't think GoW is quite as good as it was made out to be by the media. I can't deny feeling a little disappointed when I played it the first time. Having said that, it's still the best game on 360 by far and multiplayer is damn good fun.
 
Dead or Alive 4 is a must. Virtua Fighter 5 is also coming out soon on the 360 (it's already out on the PS3). The 360 version will be updated and have an online version though (the PS3 version doesn't support online multiplayer). Shadowrun is pretty fun too.
 
If you like arcade style racing, Burnout is a must. The crash mode can entertain for weeks alone, and then you can do all the other fun modes as well... :D I don't remember if COD was mentioned (2 and 3 were great, 4 should also be fun...), plus Mass Effect is supposed to be pretty good as well, it's on my list of things to play. Oh, and yeah, H3 is a no-brainer... :)
 
If she's into it, the beautiful Alan Wake could be a consideration. Psychological thriller..

Blue Dragon is a RPG made by the creators of Final Fantasy..

People are saying its a button masher kinda game well it is. It is just like Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors, only with fictional characters. Its a hack and slash game so thats obviously the point, and its not as easy as it seems.

I have it, its not bad, but if you want to get a game like this, get DW5: Empires, kinda like a RTS built in. You can control your army, invade other areas, defend, assist, get new items/horses, etc. I would go with DW5: Empires over N3 but that is upto you.
