HI,
Me being a xbox modder and all I just want to get ur opinions on a few things. When microsoft made the xbox 360 they actually were smart and made it a little bit harder to mod than the older xbox, the original xbox was very easy to mod, by modchip, reflashing bios, or even reprogramming onboard chips, even when they came out with the version 1.6 and 1.6b modchip companies found away around those security settings also, now so far xecuter has only made a connectiviy mod that will let u connect to ur pcs hdd much easier, but how long will it be before these companies find a way to surpass the 360s security and make a modchip even for it, I mean I'm thinking within the next 3 months there will be a chip that will let u play burnt games, backup games, and even find a way to install bigger hdds than the 20 gb one. what do you guys think??:rolleyes:
 
There is already a method to play copied games, but it's against the forum rules to talk about it.
 
There's always a hack for everything, so just hang in there and someone will figure it out. As far as time goes, I dont know. The guys at Microsoft are smart and they learned from Xbox (the original) how much money they can lose when modders start hacking their hardware. Because of this they have, like you said, made things a little harder this time around. Just keep searching the same sites you visited when you modded your first xbox, I don't think I can mention them but I think you know. Anyway good luck and by the way, what is the correct term for the first xbox, is it still just "xbox" or "xbox 1" or what?
 
Just XBOX... My group of friends and i refer to the XBOX 360 as the "360", and the original as the "XBOX", which is the offcial title also.
 
I wonder why they chose '360'... Is it to do with the amount of degrees in a full rotation? And what does that have to do with a gaming console?

Still, it's better than Wii....
 
I think they chose 360 because, it has a certain ring to it, I mean the xbox 2 sounds dull, the xbox 360 just sounds good.........
 
I've got a firmware modification for the X360 which I found on eMule (although I don't have an X360) it says that all you gotta do is remove the DVD drive from the X360 place it in a PC, update it to the modded firmware and "walla".

PS: You didn't hear that from me.

I suggest you edit that and PM it to him insted. Just a suggestion.....
 
Dont get me wrong I love my 360, but I think the ps3 will come out and just blow it away. I think sony now knows what its competing against and will make the system much better than the 360.

Don't even get me started, there is NO EVIDENCE to back that up. People are constantly making this stupid assumption, lets wait for it to be released.
 
notice how i said I THINK, and i dont think that assumption is stupid considering, if u have ever noticed that when a console comes out the console that proceedes it is 9 out of 10 times better.
 
Ok most people have to take out a loan to get the ps3. I think the online experience wont even compare to the 360.
 
i found a websit idk if it works styll tho about the premodded xbox 360.... xbupgrade.co.m....anyone kno about it already?
