I was looking around for a way to connect my Xbox 360 to a monitor. I want to connect it to my computer monitor but I do not want to have to keep unplugging and plugging in cables to switch between PC and Xbox 360. I realize that I will need to buy the VGA cables for the 360 which isn't a problem, but I want to be able to switch easily.
Could I use something like this:
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=525173&sku=C250-3572
and have it plugged into my monitor and then have the vga connector from the video card go in one end and the vga connector from the 360 go in the other?
I doubt it would be that simple but that is the cheapest way it can be done without a vga switchbox. Thanks.
EDIT: Would another possible way to connect it be to use the S video input on my graphics card and plug in the component video dongle so that I can use the Xbox 360 HD cables straight into the video card? Is this possible?
