Xbox360 And windows media center????

I want to connect xbox360 to my PC to stream files etc, but I do not have Windows Media Center, will I have to buy this to enable me to stream files over?

Nope. you just need to enable sharing in Windows Media Player.

is there anyway to make this work without using a wireless connection to the 360 ?
because i would like to do this but my 360 is wired to the router

Then it should work anyway, if the computer you're sharing from and your XBOX 360 are in the same subnet.
