probably up to 700Mhz, maybe a bit more. that's what someone else was getting.

My friend just called me up adn told me he got a geforce 8600 GT. i have no idea abouta nything to do with gfx cards. is it a good card?

Not really. If you can, definitely get an 8800GS, or 8800GT.
