XFX HD6970 Should I get it?

I have an opportunity to purchase a XFX HD6970 for $200-180 Should I do it or is there a better card for gaming at that price range?

For 230 an hd7870 is a equal in most games and kills it in several, while being brand new and much more power efficient
 
Get a hd7870 or hd7950, both beat the hd6970.
550W is enough for an hd7950. I'd recommend at least 600W from a good brand, though.
 
1. Do not get a 6970. They are horrible cards alone, and about useless in crossfire.
2. I would not bother with a card like that. Just get a new one from a company that has a good RMA process if need be. Newegg is one of the best.
