I wouldn't take the chance, I would definately get a full tower case so that way you know you have the room. Are you actually gonna use all those video slots? I can't justify a $700 motherboard.

No, but I found a combo deal on NewEgg with the CPU I want. Core-i7 950 + that mobo for $750. Seemed like a good deal. I doubt I get it though if it requires a full tower.

That's rubbish. The i7-950 has been slashed in price by half, and you can get decent X58 Mobos for about $200. As john said, if you were going to use all those PCI-e slots (dual-quad crossfire), then you'd want at least one i7 Extreme Edition. That motherboard is a waste, unless you're going to spend thousands of dollars on the very best parts. When an i7-950 is just over 200 bucks, it's a no-brainer.
